Duerden Group uses proven, practical safety systems to empower teams to take ownership on site every day.

We plan the work first—RAMS for each task, inductions, permits and briefings—with supervision matched to risk. Temporary works, lifting operations and isolations are controlled and recorded so everyone knows the method and the hold points.

On site we keep it live with toolbox talks, point-of-work risk assessments, near-miss reporting and weekly audits. PPE standards, plant checks and housekeeping keep sites tidy, while photos and simple notes give you clear evidence of compliance.

Arrive rested, alert and unimpaired. If health or medication could affect your concentration or reactions, tell your supervisor before starting. Stay hydrated, take breaks as briefed and remove yourself from work if you feel unwell.

Hold the right tickets/CSCS and read the RAMS. Know the sequence, the controls and your role. If anything is unclear, stop and ask—only begin when you fully understand the method and the risks.

Attend the daily briefing, review today’s hazards and controls, check PPE and plant condition, and keep access routes and work areas tidy. Make sure permits, isolations and barriers are in place.

Follow the agreed controls at all times and use the right equipment. Report hazards, good practice, accidents, incidents and near misses immediately so we can act and keep the programme moving.

If conditions, design or equipment change: stop the job, make it safe and tell your supervisor/site manager. We’ll review the RAMS, re-brief the team and only restart when the new method is agreed.
